U vašem filmu “Envisioned: Solace of Our Demons” istražujete dublje emocionalne i psihološke teme.
Dubina i složenost lika privukli su me ovoj ulozi u filmu Envisioned: Solace of Our Demons.
Strastven sam u promovisanju raznolikosti u industriji zabave kroz različite inicijative i projekte.
Ideja o ulasku u drugo vreme, sa njegovom jedinstvenom kulturom i istorijskim kontekstom, zaista me fascinira. Takođe, posebno me privlače uloge sa dubinom i složenošću, koje izazivaju moje glumačke sposobnosti i omogućavaju nijansiranu interpretaciju.

You’ve had quite a diverse career journey, from studying business to acting and modeling. How have these disciplines influenced each other in your personal and professional life?
Well, it took me some time to find a balance between business, acting, and modeling. However, all three professions enriched my life significantly. Business taught me strategic thinking and discipline, which I apply to manage my career effectively. Acting expanded my empathy and communication abilities, enabling me to connect more deeply with others and modeling boosted my confidence and self-expression, helping me embrace my unique identity.
In all professions, I try to find a way to nurture from creativity whilst always trying to adapt to different circumstances. This has enriched my personal growth and helps bringing more ease to my professional journey.
You trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York and Los Angeles. How did this experience shape your approach to acting, and were there any specific lessons that stood out to you?
My experience at the Lee Strasberg Institute was truly amazing, and I was incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful teachers. Reflecting on the time I spent there, a few key lessons stand out: the significance of emotional memory, the power of relaxation techniques, and the value of sense memory exercises. These techniques continue to be invaluable to me, helping to create genuine emotions and reactions that greatly enhance performances.
In your film “Envisioned: Solace of Our Demons” you seem to explore deeper emotional and psychological themes. What attracted you to this role, and what was the most challenging aspect of portraying such a character?
The depth and complexity of the character drew me to this role in “Envisioned: Solace of Our Demons.” Exploring such intricate emotional and psychological themes was both a challenge and a delight. I tried to capture the character’s internal struggles and portray them authentically, so the audience could relate to and empathise with the character’s journey.
“Window Shopping” seems to be a more playful, romantic film compared to some of your other work. What drew you to this project?
“Window Shopping” offered a refreshing change of pace for me, with its playful and romantic vibe. I was drawn to the project because of its charming storyline and the opportunity to explore a lighter, more whimsical side of storytelling.
Having worked in both theatre and film, how do you approach a role differently in front of a live audience versus on screen?
When I’m on stage, in front of a live audience, I thrive on the immediate energy and connection. I have learned over the years that it’s crucial to be present and amplify my expressions, as every movement and emotion must be big enough to reach the back row. There’s no pause button, and every performance is a fresh, shared experience with the audience.
On the other hand, film acting allows me to delve into the subtleties of a character. The camera captures the slightest flicker of an eye or the faintest whisper, so I focus on refining the details. My experiences on set is more intimate and allows for an inward reflection, showcasing subtle emotions without the need to exaggerate.
How do you hope your work as an actor can contribute to your passion for advocating for social issues and promoting diversity in the entertainment industry?
I am passionate about promoting diversity and representation in the entertainment industry through various initiatives and projects. One specific project I am passionate about is collaborating with organizations that support underrepresented filmmakers and artists to provide them with opportunities to showcase their work and amplify their voices.
What kind of roles are you hoping to take on in the future? Are there any genres or character types you’re particularly excited to explore?
I’m excited to explore roles in period pieces. The idea of stepping into a different era, with its unique culture and historical context, fascinates me. Also, I’m particularly drawn to roles with depth and complexity, which challenge my acting skills and allow for a nuanced portrayal.
