Za nama je godina koju je obeležila Barbie – ili nekima Barbenheimer. Međutim 2024. je definitivno godina Oppenheimer–a, koji preuzima vođstvo sa 13 nominacija za Oskara. Barbie, je i dalje na čelu čopora sa 8 nominacija, no, iznenađujuće, bez nominacije za Gretu Gerwig kao najboljeg reditelja (nominovana je za adaptirani scenario), kao ni za Margot Robbie u nominaciji za najbolju glumicu. “Reći da sam razočaran što nisu nominovane u svojim kategorijama bilo bi nedovoljno”, izjavio je nominovani Ryan Gosling za ulogu Kena.
Prošlogodišnji dobitnik Oskara, Leonardo DiCaprio, koji je glumio u “Killers of the Flower Moon”, takođe nije dobio nominaciju ove godine. S druge strane, njegova partnerka Lily Gladstone nominovana je za najbolju glumicu, i to kao prva amerikanka indijanskog porekla. Ovaj film dobio je ukupno 10 nominacija.
