Could you tell us a bit more about the Public Art project? It’s a form of art placed in public space or the public realm, usually outside and visually and physically accessible to the public, not in a museum or gallery. Art is for everyone, it is a form of collective community expression.
What made you create Moscow Public Art Fund and how did it define Russia’s capital urban plan? The Moscow Public Art was founded in 2014 and the first significant project was the Sculpture Park Simvol on the former territory of the factory Hammer and Sickle now owned by development company Donstroy. Within the framework of the Parallel Program of The International Youth Biennale, Fund placed 12 works of public art that have remained forever on the territory of the residential complex. Created public art project was a stage of gentrification, the transition from one land to another. It was a revolutionary step for Moscow, which was praised by the highest ranks of the Moscow government.
The first Public Art sculpture Endless Curve by the artist Wenqin Chen in the history of Moscow’s culture was bought and placed by the Moscow Public Art Fund on the few steps from Red Square, now the territory of contemporary park Zaryadye.

We deeply believe that new art experience can creat new forms of Art and Fashion collaborations.
What is it about modern art that is so appealaing to you? Most inspiring thing for me is how contemporary art works with historical, vintage forms. Creates the newest embodiments. I believe that all art develops in a spiral, and contemporary art always has references to the past.
